Some Finishes!

Here's the first installment, more to follow later today and tomorrow :)

Ginny explained a great way of hanging quilts to me: these clip-on curtain rings! No more quilts on the floor as the only photo-position! I went straight to the store and got a loooong (86") curtain rod and clip-on curtain rings. Wish they'd have had a curtain rod colour other than gold, though...

Here is the finished batik 9-patch baby quilt.

Without the flash, the different patterns really come out!

I was happy to get all your positive comments about how much you liked the different free-motion blocks!

I love it! I am so glad I could help out, I do wish I could take credit for the idea, but I got the idea from one of my daycare parents! I will be posting a write up about the hanger this weekend.

This is a great finish, the photo showing the different stitches is really impressive! A true inspiration.

Oh, and I was sooo bad. In the name of saving time, I ended up quilting one feather shape in all 25 large blocks and another shape in the small 25. It was the only way I'd get that queen sized quilt finished in a weekend. Oh, well. Hoping to use some of Leah's designs in my next quilt. Lane
