My give-away has two parts. I picked fat quarters from an eclectic mix of fabrics to give away. The two winners will each win 3 fat quarters from this selection, and there is some bonus fabric for the winner who completes the challenge part.
We've got cranes, tiny mice and cheese, musical instruments, rockets, Hawaiian flowers and brown toile looking for new homes!
The winner of the challenge will win a piece of fabric I used in the Fun On Ice quilt, it's shown in this next picture.

To win the second set of 3 fat quarters, leave a comment with the right answer for the challenge: My challenge has to do with the polar bear quilt (which I named "Fun On Ice") I just made. I worked on the quilt for about a week, with a nagging feeling that something was not quite right...

Hi there Sunshine! I am leaving a comment for your great giveaway. I really don't see anything "wrong" with your quilt. It does appear that most of the blocks are floating, and two of the blocks are connected. So maybe one of your blocks was not placed right on the quilt. Just a guess :-) It's really a cute quilt.
Sunshine, don't put me in the drawing, as lovely as your fabric are, I would have a heck of a time putting them to use...we'll just save them for someone who can use them :0). I think I know what is "wrong" though I think the whole quilt looks great. I'll not post it here, I'll send an e-mail just to see if I'm right :0). I think it's sweet, we did a polar bear theme room when my boy was a baby. I like the mix of the wavy quilting with following the blocks. But as sandyandcosmo said . . . you wouldn't find polar bears and penguins in the same hemisphere!

This quilt looks very cute. After reading the other comments I feel like a cheater saying the same thing, so I'm going to guess something different. I see that some of the borders are different sizes. Are they supposed to all be the same size borders? They look cute since they are all wonky. It's very cute. This is a neat idea how to emphasize the cute guys.
I love your quilt - it's very cute! I found your blog through SMS and was excited to find another Canadian! :) As for the problem in your quilt, I agree with the comments made about the animals, everything else looks great!
Ok I give up I can't figure out what is wrong. I think it is a great quilt. Sometimes little details drive us crazy but other never notice it.
Hi Sunshine, Crispy sent me over. You're quilt is lovely and it looks great the way it is. The Amish deliberately put a mistake in their quilts because only God is perfect. So embrace it and don't sweat the small stuff. No need to put me in your drawing, just wanted to say hi.
Be proud of yourself for finishing this quilt! So many of us (me included) have quilts languishing in bags, closets and boxes....
Now the challenge, since the fabric comes printed with the animals together, I doubt that would bother me, regardless of which hemisphere they are in...so, I'm wondering if it's because only one square is verticle while the rest are horizontal....or perhaps that two of the blocks sort of overlap rather than meet at the cornor. What ever it is, it is very minor and no one is going to kick about it. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing via a blog...you are braver than me!

Please include me in your drawing. I think your quilt looks fantastic. The only thing that I could possibly think of is that if you look at your quilt as three columns, the center section is fine, but maybe the left and right sides are reversed. Just a guess. It's darling any way you look at it.

I'm tempted to read the comments first to see if my guess is there - but I'll be a good girl and write mine and then read the others. I was wondering if Polar Bears and Penquins should be on the same quilt - since they live at opposite "ends" of the globe but that is how the fabric is - so that can't be it - I think it is just darling. I'm never good at finding mistakes in a quilt - even when pointed out to me - I think everything is fair game when making a quilt.
Crispy's post sent me running here and I'm glad I did. Your quilt is cute and so are the fabrics. And it doesn't bother me a bit that the penquins and bears come from different places. Ice is ice right? heehee
It did take me just a bit to find "what's wrong with the quilt". I think (and of course I could be wrong) the 3rd block down on the right side should be moved out to the edge to continue the staggered look.
Altho keeping it the way it is would certainly be more than acceptable. It just adds that bit of personallity that all quilts need.
It is a lovely quilt, but I can't see anything wrong with it.

I'd like to have the chance to win your give away, hmmm about the challenge of Fun On Ice, I have to say, you said something is wrong with it, but I love it, love the colours you used for it, I'll say 2 things I think it's wrong: polar bears and penguins don't live in the same country, am I right?, Option 2: were you suppose to connect the block all together?, not floating like you did?, tell us whats wrong with it, now I'm intrigued and we'd like to know, lol. I´d love to join your giveaway. It´s a beautiful quilt, can´t see any wrong with your work. But the fabric-designer hadn´t read it´s homework :) Polarbears live on the northpole, and penguins on the southpole.

the 2 blocks are staggered together much deeper than the other set. So those are my answers.

I really like your quilt. Yes Polar Bears and Penguins really don't go together....but in a way they do. Who cares what hemisphere they are in right? They do float and then some are connected. But I don't think anyone would ever say or really notice unless you asked them.
